Game Description

The Joyous are watched by the Authorities and kept on a short leash as they are tested daily to ensure no other emotions populate in their subjects’ minds other than happiness.

If sadness sits on their face they are taken away and never seen again.

Join the Joyous on his dark episodic odyssey as he makes his way through the world.

Gameplay

My Beautiful Paper Smile is a horror adventure that will have you running, dodging, and puzzling away from your nightmares as you sprint your way to escape the Joyous’ facility and out into the world beyond. Utilize stealth to sneak past obstacles and avoid the Authorities, but don’t go for too long without light, as prolonged exposure to the dark will end you as will the faceless monster that pursues you.

Stonedeep is an 2.5D underground city builder. Dwarfs gather resources, build and fend off monsters. Colonies can specialize in culture, production, military and trading. At start, dwarfs need drinks and rest. With a higher civilization level, they will increase their needs.

Every civilization level increases your daily tax income, but also increases the needs of the involved residents. The gameplay is simple, yet satisfyingly difficult. You will control our hero Glimmer as you head for the end of each level by jumping, climbing, and gliding—all while evading deadly traps and obstacles. The challenges ahead are not for the faint-hearted, but as you progress through the game and develop precision in your fingers, you will surely be thrilled by the joy of accomplishment.

Tip: When gliding, you can freely move in any direction for a short duration. However, this skill can only be used once before needing to be recharged. To recharge, land on a surface or trigger certain game mechanics.

170 Levels and over 10 Game Mechanics
The full version of the game features as many as 170 levels, each designed with an extensive set of challenges involving unique gameplay. There are over 10 unique game mechanics, including “neon beam”, “pinball”, and many more. Centered around the core gameplay of “traversing the landscape”, these mechanics must be either avoided or taken advantage of in order to beat the level and progress through the game.
